Hi, I’m Mikey – the hands, heart, and imagination behind Made by Mikey, based in beautiful Nottinghamshire.

I’ve been crafting since I was a kid, but in 2025 – after being made redundant from my corporate job – I finally took the leap and turned my lifelong love of making into something more. With encouragement from friends and family, I opened Made by Mikey to share the things I create with others.

In my shop, you’ll find a mix of handmade treasures – from bespoke, one-of-a-kind hardback notebooks (crafted using traditional bookbinding techniques) to high-quality tote bags, zipper pouches, and scrunchies made from premium, often designer, fabrics. Every item is handmade by me, right here at home under the watchful eyes of my two cats, Bilbo and Bombadil. (The ceramic pumpkins and pots? They’re ready-made pieces that are lovingly hand-painted by my husband James in his own signature style!)

I work with care, attention, and a deep love for what I do – using only the best materials and stitching everything to a standard I’m genuinely proud of. Many of my items are completely unique, and even those made in similar styles or fabrics have their own personality. I also love working on custom commissions – from personalised notebooks to special gifts – and I’m always happy to chat via email, Facebook, or Instagram.
